📢 Important Shipping & Tariff Update

Effective August 29, 2025, a 17% tariff fee will be included on all shipments to the USA.

Why this change?

  • The U.S. de minimis exemption (packages under $800 duty-free) is ending.
  • Under the U.S.–Japan trade agreement (effective July 23, 2025), imports of Japanese goods (including trading cards) are generally subject to a 15% import duty.
  • Shipping companies also apply 2% duty advancement surcharge (minimum $14) to handle duty pre-payment.

➡️ Together, this means the total import cost may exceed 17%.

How will this work?

We will operate under a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) system:

  • ✅ We (the seller) pay all import duties and taxes in advance.
  • ✅ You (the buyer) will not need to handle customs clearance or pay extra charges at delivery.

Additional Notes:

  • Shipping companies charge a 2% duty advancement surcharge (minimum $14) for duty pre-payment.
  • Final duty classification and carrier practices may vary.

✔ Smooth delivery with no extra paperwork

📦 Carrier Clearance & Disbursement Fees(reference)

Exact fees may vary depending on the destination.

To keep everything transparent, here are the standard fees charged by each major carrier:

DHL Express

  • JPY 3,300 per shipment or 2% of duties/taxes advanced (whichever is higher).

UPS

  • Clearance fee: JPY 2,700 (excl. tax) per shipment
  • Plus disbursement fee: 2% of duties/taxes (minimum USD 14)

Note: Disbursement fee can be waived with a deposit account (large organizations only, confirm with UPS rep).

FedEx

  • Declared value ≤ USD 800:
    • Disbursement: USD 4.50 min or 2%
    • Clearance: USD 8.50 min or 2%
  • Declared value > USD 800:
  • Disbursement: USD 14 min or 2%
  • Clearance: USD 27 min or 2%
  • From Sept 15, 2025:
    • U.S. import processing surcharge → FICP: USD 1 / shipment, IP/IE: USD 2.50 / shipment
